How this is calculated

Amazon's fee schedule is not one schedule at all: each store publishes its own, and it changes at least once a year. This calculator models the two fees every FBA seller pays on every sale, the referral fee, a percentage of the price that depends on the category and often on the price itself, and the FBA fulfilment fee, a fixed amount per unit set by size tier and shipping weight, for standard-size items in common categories, using the rate card of the marketplace you pick. Outside North America the displayed price includes VAT or GST, and a tax-registered seller's referral fee is charged on the tax-exclusive amount.
