Australia: no minimum, no maximum, and a small tier that ends at 500 g
Australian prices include GST, and there is no minimum or maximum referral fee. That first half is unremarkable, the second is not: Australia and India are the only stores in this calculator with no per-item floor at all, so a cheap listing pays its percentage and nothing more. Amazon states there is no maximum either, so a high-priced listing pays the full percentage on the whole base.
The rates here are the standard ones. Check a cheap listing in Seller Central before pricing it, because Amazon Australia also runs a reduced fulfilment rate for items priced under A$13 that this calculator does not model.
Category rates are lower, fulfilment is dearer
Most Australian referral rates undercut Europe's: 13% on home products, 12% on toys, 10.5% on automotive, and 10% on clothing below A$20 against 15% on most European categories. Computers are the curiosity, falling from 8% to 6% above A$150. Rates that fall with price are common enough in these schedules, jewellery and watches do it in most stores, but computers are a flat percentage nearly everywhere, and Australia is the only store here where the computer rate falls as the price rises.
Fulfilment takes back what the referral rates give. The whole card is six bands: A$7.34 to 250 g, A$7.64 to 500 g, then A$9.22 at 1 kg, A$9.68 at 1.5 kg, A$9.94 at 2 kg and A$12.30 to 12 kg, the last two of which Amazon prices as oversize rather than standard. The small tier stops at 500 g, so most parcels are billed from the standard column. Against typical Australian selling prices that leaves the fee share materially higher than in Europe, which is the figure to watch in the headline rather than the referral rate.
Prices include 10% GST, so a registered seller's referral fee is charged on the price divided by 1.1.
Amazon runs no New Zealand store, and sellers there list on amazon.com.au and pay these fees, so this is the page for them too.
Figures come from Amazon Australia's published pricing and FBA fee pages, effective 1 January 2026.
