  • National Consumer Price Index (NCPI), annual averages (2010 = 100)

    Sri Lanka is not in the BIS long consumer price dataset, so the series comes from the World Bank, which publishes the Department of Census and Statistics index. Values before 2015 chain the earlier Colombo index, because the NCPI itself only starts then.

    Annual inflation reproduces the statistics office's published rates: 2021 7.0% vs 7% published, 2022 49.7% vs 49.7% published.
