New Zealand: the rate and the fees, shown apart
The Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act asks a lender to disclose the annual interest rate and to list the credit fees, but it does not combine them into one fee-inclusive annual rate. A New Zealand loan document therefore shows, say, 10% and a 300 establishment fee, not a single figure such as 12.11%.
That leaves the comparison to you, which is what this page does. The headline is the nominal yearly cost of the loan with its fees included, and the effective rate is beside it; neither is a figure the law requires, so treat them as a way to compare two offers rather than as a disclosed rate. The CCCFA does use the annual rate as a threshold for one purpose: a contract whose annual interest rate reaches 50% is high-cost credit and subject to daily and total cost caps.
