Fees, rates and markups from Wise's comparison of banks and transfer services, each checked by Wise between Oct 23, 2026, 18:36 UTC and Oct 30, 2026, 06:28 UTC. Ranked only by the amount that arrives. Wise publishes this data and pays CentExact a commission when you use its link: how we make money.

How the cost is worked out

The cost is what the recipient would get at the Open Exchange Rates mid-market rate, read Oct 30, 2026, 06:00 UTC, minus what each provider delivers: its fee and its exchange-rate margin together. The markup is Wise's own figure, how far the provider's rate sits from Wise's mid-market rate. The two rates are read at different moments, so a gap under about 0.2% can come from timing alone.

How this is calculated

For the amount and the two currencies you choose, the table lists each bank and transfer service in Wise's public comparison with its upfront fee, its exchange rate and its markup, and ranks them only by what the recipient receives. Each quote is then measured against the Open Exchange Rates mid-market rate: your amount converted at that rate, minus what the provider delivers, is its full cost in the receiving currency, fee and rate margin combined. Wise checks every provider at its own times and is also a CentExact partner, so prices can have moved and a live quote is the final word.

What this does not include

  • First-transfer promotions and loyalty rates that a provider offers only to some customers.
  • Charges the recipient's bank or a cash pickup agent takes after the money arrives.
  • Card or debit funding fees, which some providers add when you pay by card.
  • Taxes on sending money, such as the US excise tax on cash-funded transfers.
  • Providers Wise does not track on the route you choose.
