Spain: two retirement ages, depending on your contribution record
The ordinary retirement age reaches 67 in 2027; it is 66 and 8 months in 2026 for shorter contribution records. Spain is the country here where the pension age depends not only on when you were born but on how long you have contributed: a long enough record still lets you retire at 65 on a full pension, while a shorter one pushes you to the higher age, which is itself still climbing on a timetable that ends in 2027.
That is why the retirement age is the input worth changing on this page rather than accepting. It opens on the ordinary age; if your record is long, your own date is earlier, and two years at the end of a projection move the balance more than almost any other single input, because those are the years when growth is largest and contributions matter least.
The Seguridad Social pension provides most Spanish retirement income and is not modelled here. It is earnings-related and averaged over a long reference period, so it needs a contribution history this calculator does not ask for. Subtract the pension you expect from the income you want and enter only the remainder as the target.
Spanish assumptions: a 6.5% nominal return and 2% inflation, a real return of 4.41% a year.
